Information about 2019 Match Official Courses:
Small
Sided Game
In
order to be eligible to participate in the 2019 Small Sided Game Clinic, an
individual must be at least 12 years of age, and not older than 13 years of
age, on or before March 31, 2019.
Participants
of this clinic will become accredited with Ontario Soccer (OS) as Small Sided
Game Match Officials and will be qualified to officiate 7v7 matches within the
guidelines.
Any Club hosting an OS certified Small Sided Game Clinic, is required to use
(without alteration) the OS sanctioned Laws of the Small Sided Game.
These are the laws and guidelines that the participants will be taught and use
when officiating 7v7 matches. At the conclusion of this clinic,
participants are required to complete and pass an on-line examination on the
material covered over the duration of the clinic to become accredited.
The
Small Sided Game Clinic is approximately six hours in duration. The course is being run on Monday May 13 AND Tuesday May 14 from 6pm to 9pm at Smithville Christian High School. Both sessions are mandatory. The clinic is supported by a minimum number of 15 participants
(maximum 25). The cost per participant for the clinic in 2019 is $65.
Registration is now open and “private” to Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln residents for approximately three (3) weeks; then open to the general public
thereafter.

Small
Sided Game Assistant Referee (AR)
In
order to be eligible to participate in the 2019 Small Sided Game Assistant
Referee Clinic, an individual must:
i.
be at least 13 years of age on or
before March 31, 2019;
ii.
have completed a minimum of one (1)
year as a Small Sided Game match official.
Participants
of this clinic will become further accredited with Ontario Soccer (OS) and
promoted to a Grade 2 Small Sided Game Match Officials and will now be
qualified to assist on 9v9 matches within the guidelines.
Any
Club hosting an OS certified Small Sided Game Assistant Referee Clinic, is
required to use (without alteration) the OS sanctioned FIFA Laws of
the Game; specifically Law 6 and Law
11. These are the laws and guidelines that the participants will
be taught and use when assisting with 9v9 matches. At the conclusion of this
clinic, participants are required to complete and pass an on-line examination
on the material covered over the duration of the clinic to become accredited.
The
Small Sided Game Assistant Referee Clinic is three hours in duration and is to
be scheduled in the Niagara area ASAP. The clinic is supported by a minimum number
of 10 participants (maximum 25). The cost per participant for the clinic in 2019

Entry Level
In
order to be eligible to participate in the 2019 Entry Level Clinic, an
individual must be at least 14 years of age on or before March 31, 2019.
Participants
of this clinic will become accredited Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) Entry
Level Match Officials; either Youth Match Officials (if under the age of 16) or
District Match Officials (if over the age of 16). Entry Level Match
Officials will be qualified to officiate 7v7, 9v9 and/or 11v11 matches within
the guidelines.
The
Entry Level Clinic focuses on practical training and the application of
the FIFA Laws of the Game. Prior to arriving at the
clinic, participants are required to complete the necessary pre-course work
thereby giving them a basic knowledge of the Laws prior
to entering the classroom setting with one of the Ontario Soccer's certified
instructors. During the formal 16-hour
training scheduled for Saturday May 4 AND Saturday May 11,
2019, participants will engage in interactive, practical based sessions
that will teach them how to apply the Laws they were exposed
to in their pre-course work. Both sessions are mandatory. At the conclusion of this clinic,
participants are required to complete and pass an on-line examination on the
material covered over the duration of the clinic to become accredited.
The
Entry Level Clinic is supported by a minimum number of 17 participants (maximum
25). The cost per participant for the clinic in 2019 is $92.50. Registration
is now open and “private” to Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln residents for
approximately three (3) weeks. The course will be open to the general public
