After a successful
first year of soccer the Grimsby Minor Soccer Association’s Executive
Committee is planning to expand for the upcoming season.
The programs this year will involve age groups 8-10 years for boys.
Also providing enough interest is shown, it is the intention to provide recreational soccer to girls aged 10-13 years.
Registration for the
upcoming season will be held at Central Public School on Friday March
1, from 6 to 9 p.m. and on March 2 from 10a.m. to noon.
Flyers have been
circulated to all area schools requesting interest in the above
mentioned ages. Also, due to the increased program, the association has
announced that all parents and others interested in offering their
assistance would be more than welcome.
Experience in soccer is not essential as there are plane to have soccer seminars introducing the game to all new personnel.
The contents of these seminars will focus on refereeing coaching and the rules of the game of soccer.
In order to fulfill
the intended programs this year the association feels it is essential to
provide the proper supervision to ensure that the children of Grimsby
have a fun-filled summer.
