Important Message Re: Ticks

Parents/Players/Coaches

Now that the soccer season is underway, we need you to be mindful to check for Ticks while attending the fields. While the Town of Grimsby maintains the fields very well, sometimes with all the rain, actual cutting can be postponed and grass length can be longer at times.

This means that TICKs can be more prevalent around the fields. So we encourage you to check yourself and your players after each game, use bug spray, where possible avoid the long grass and be extra aware. There are many reports that there seems to be a lot of ticks in many locations throughout Hamilton and the Niagara Region.

Mosquitos are pesky too, so if you have your bug spray this can eliminate 2 problems.

Please check and Stay Safe.
